Chinese Veterinary Medical Association Releases Six Social Organization Standards for Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Technologies
Six Social Organization Standards for Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Technologies, Including the 'Diagnostic Technical Specification for Bordetella bronchiseptica Infection in Cats,' Released
The six social organization standards, published on September 9, 2024, include:
“Diagnostic Technical Specification for Bordetella bronchiseptica Infection in Cats”,
“Diagnostic Technical Specification for Feline Herpesvirus Infection”,
“PCR Detection Method for Canine and Feline Parvovirus”,
“Nucleic Acid Detection Method for Feline Leukemia Virus”,
“Nucleic Acid Detection Method for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus”,
“Diagnostic Technical Specification for Feline Calicivirus Infection”.
These standards were jointly developed by GlinX as the main drafting organization, along with the Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Beijing Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center, and the Shanghai Animal Disease Prevention and Control Center.

Social Organization Standards Promote High-Quality Products and Services
To implement the National Standardization Development Outline, unleash the standardization potential of market entities, optimize the structure of standard supply, enhance the competitiveness of products and services, and promote high-quality development in the industry, GlinX actively engages in the development of social organization standards. By leveraging its technical expertise, GlinX fills gaps in existing standards, enhances the standardization and professionalism of animal diagnostics, and supports the health and well-being of animals.
Social Organization Standards Reduce Misdiagnosis and Ensure Welfare for Every Animal
Infectious disease diagnosis is a crucial application of nucleic acid testing in China. Due to the contagious nature of these diseases, accurate diagnosis is especially important. It helps in the timely detection of pathogens, preventing their spread and protecting vulnerable populations. Furthermore, infectious disease testing provides valuable data for pathogen research, aiding in the understanding of the occurrence, development, and transmission patterns of diseases. This knowledge serves as a foundation for the development of vaccines and medications.
The social organization standards provide nucleic acid diagnostic specifications for Bordetella bronchiseptica in cats, feline herpesvirus, feline calicivirus, feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and canine and feline parvovirus. These standards cover elements include PCR primer sequences, PCR reaction systems, PCR reaction parameters, threshold settings, quality control standards, and result interpretations. By adhering to these standards, the incidence of false positives and false negatives can be effectively reduced, minimizing clinical misdiagnosis, ensuring accuracy for every diagnostic result, and improving welfare of every animal.
GlinX values every life. We are committed to promoting industry standardization and professionalism, enhancing animal health and welfare, and using technology to improve the well-being of every animal.
